Spartan Sonja Olson carries a big stick as part of the BHS Lacrosse Team, and she used it Wednesday night (March 19) at home in a decisive win over Seattle Prep, scoring 4 of her team’s 16 goals. Teammate Paige Brigham had 3 assists and a goal and Ellen Carpenter had 3 goals.
The Spartans took the lead early, ending the half with 10 goals to the Panthers’ 2. In the second half, the Panthers struggled to catch up, putting 3 in the net but falling far short.
Panther Tess Jordan led her team with 2 goals. Spartan keeper McKenzie Scott made 3 saves.
Bainbridge next faces Issaquah (1-0-1), Wednesday, March 26 in an 8 p.m. start at Bainbridge High School.
